This week, Xtreme Performance Motorsports took on the challenging course that is Mid-Ohio. 5 of our current 6 RSR drivers took the field tonight, including the debut of XPM driver Chris Edwards.
Early season Championship Contender, Kyle Trudell had early race troubles after entering the session with just a minute to spare. Trudell unfortunatly had to start the race from pit road due to not gridding the field in time. He would set solid pace all race, but the large gap proved to be alot to overcome. Kyle would finish in 21st.
Gridding issues also occured for Michael Kuchinsky who entered the race right after the green flag was thrown. Kuchinsky would ultimatly park his car after 10 laps as the setback would be too much to overcome. He would finish in 28th.
Chris Edwards made his RSR debut in the event, recieving valuable seat time and driving a solid, clean race. "My goal tonight was to make it to halfway without hitting anybody" Edwards stated. "I achieved that, I'm satisfied." Edwards, faced with the task of debuting at one of the toughest road courses RSR goes to, finished the evening off with a 24th place run.
But it was Jaron Weinmaster who set fast pace all evening for XPM Drivers. Jaron seen most of his action inside the top-5 for majority of the event. Battling iRacing veterans such as Sam Neito, Kyle Kammer, and Kevin King. Even roughing it up and bending some bumpers with them. Jaron brought his #48 machine home for a well deserved P8.
Not the greatest week for us as gridding issues plagued our overall results, but we know we will come back strong next week at Chicagoland.
